A start to finish win from Mat Carter, with Steven Cook chasing him hard all the way. A hard fought dice for 4th lasted for 3 laps between Doyle, Peterson, A.Scott, N.Scott, and last years champ Whitman. Each had a try at breaking away untill Peterson made the decisive move with a last lap charge which almost saw him snatch 3rd on the line from Holmes.

EXPERT CLASS 5-LAPS
BCF Performance plan rider and Britsh champion Paul Lazenby / Marin - ATB sales raced, getting in valuable UK off-road miles in and livened up proceedings in more ways than one.
Paul led as expected but was closely shadowed by P.Middlehurst for several laps. Then much to spectators suprise Middlehurst emerged from the woods clearly ahead of Lazenby. Turned out Paul had entertained the crowd at the river 'bridge' crossing by taking a dive in backwards off the side. Having been fully submerged in the cold deep water his spirits were considerably damped by the cold northerly wind for the rest of the race. Look out for the pictures that onlookers must have got. Rob Lees fine last lap effort gained him 3rd place over last years champ Chris Bray.
