6 hrs of pain and eating Report here

A big welcome to two new Plumz team members.
Junior riders Scott Clipstone and Ian Whatling have joined our merry gang, say hi to them on Friday.

On the question of being a Plumster, were are a race team and as such welcome all riders interested in being a part of our social scene at races. It's important to us that all our riders know each other, we are not a cycle club as such and can't offer the usual club benefits of regular rides or meets. Performance is irrelevant, taking part is what we are after, and enjoy.

it's almost time - Friday approaches May 03
News from the first round; it's looking like a 10km course and a 2 lap race. Goes without saying if you want to pre-lap you'll have to get there early.

Martin Smith tells us he won't be around to defend his 2003 title, so its open for a new champ. Hot favourite in my book is Matt Barrett from Websters cycles/WVW, its all to play for though with 14 rounds consistency will count for a lot.
After the race we are off to the National in Scotland so there will be NO results available here untill Tuesday at the earliest. Check the Forum Neil could post them there on Saturday.

All the entry details in - FNSS Calendar

midlands series round 1 Apr 26
Pic thanks to Alan Verney of shockwaveThe Sun came out and the Plumz hit the trails. Jack just edged out for 3rd in the race to the line and Smiffy and Bigring hit the front in the Masters. Dirtmuncher showed he's been in secret training too.
Well done to the King of the Pines once again - Geoff Beetham/ERV, full results hopefully soon

There's now a NPS report and Photo's from round 1.

And apologies to Dirtmuncher, He's finally been added to the Plumz hall of fame, sorry It wasn't updated sooner.

solo riders for the Mayhem 24 Hour Apr 20
As with the team event a huge entry list has been whittled down and some people might be now be regretting what originally was a good idea.
Confirmed Solo entries Step forward Ed Mair and Nige Scott who will be representing Numplumz in name and feeling. Good luck to Richard Pratt, and Mark Vines of Cats and Rob Lee in their long quest in June too.

With sun and high temps likely this weekend, its all systems go for Round 1 of the Midlands series at Sherwood pines, see you there.

what a fun weekend - Prem1er is go Apr 13
All the pain, the long hours on the road, the 4 freezing river crossings, the killer climbs, were worth it, just to do those sweet descents so many times.
The main races proved a tough test for Smiffy , Lloyd and Nige, whilst Jack hit 7 laps of the tough Enduro course for 6 hrs. The short track was a killer but fun too, at least Jack and Adi can say they got through one knockout round.
Seems the results are here justride.co.uk

mud and yes it was glorious Apr 05
A huge shock to the system, a muddy Gorrick race, didn't stop Smiffy or Jack from coming home with a second place apiece though. One round to go and Smiffy is hanging on by 2 pts to the series lead, its going to be a titanic last round.
Sorry about the dull lack of photo's, as we all race together there's nobody around to take any.

Results and series points here Gorrick site

TT action starts again this week, so that's why the storms have started, and we are ready for the first biggie of the season this weekend the NPS Premier series in Plymouth.

excuse me - a new bridleway! Mar 25
On one of my off-road routes home, a sign appears. Now it's never been official this 3 mile track but we all use it, so I feared the worst. A council notice...... Its come to our attention there is a requirement for a Bridleway ..bla.. bal....the following track all 3 miles, shown in full. Henceforth etc. This will officially become a bridleway in 7 days time.
Wow that's got to be a first, they will be asking us to show them our unofficial tracks in the same woods next, ahem!

Amazing fact No2 - British Cycling has arranged an exclusive offer for members to receive one ticket absolutely FREE for the Bike Show, GO THERE

siverware keeps coming  Mar 14
Smiffy (2nd) and Jack (3rd) on the Podium again at Gorrick in another great day of Racing at slippy Crowthorne Wood, round 3 of the Spring Series.
They are both firmly established for the series with 2 rounds to go, Smiffy's consistency has him in the overall lead. With Jack a strong 3rd.
Ron upped his speed with a 7th closing the gap, whilst Lloyd surprised himself and managed the same result in the Masters.
