ot so sunny Spain
Mar
08 Just back from our weeks carnage in Mallorca, the body and bike count
was huge, many crashed and burned in the snow!!! and hailstorms and 3 degree
heat. And as for the last night and Las Vegas girlie club, well you had to see
it to believe it. Great fun was had by all 12 of us. Photos will follow
soon.
There's another Thetford Enduro in the pipeline for April 18th, keep
your eyes on the Calendar for full details soon, the laps will be bigger upping
the distance to 40 miles this time. FNSS dates are virtually finalised, they
are in the calendar and its still 14 rounds with 6 to qualify for the series.
Entry forms will be available here by the end of the week. |
ilverware for Plumz boys

Not only a superbly fun mud free course, but some
trophies to boot. In a mad thrash Friday night race style racing held over 3 laps of a
testing Gorrick course the Plumz showed in force. Smiffy strengthened his chase
for a good series result with another trophy for 3rd, with Lloyd chasing him
hard untill throwing away 5th with a big crash to come in 9th. Jack produced a best ever Vets
performance for 3rd, hot on the heals of the leaders giving them and Ron in a
solid 8th, something to think about.
We're off to get in some mad hairpin descending in
the warmth of Mallorca at the end of the week so it will be quiet site for a
while. Why not
join us for a chat on the
tagboard , that box on the left, log on around 7.30pm to
hear about the days carnage, as we digest all that pasta, before the evenings
entertainment begins. |
hetford Enduro report

Results now
available RESULTS Thanks to JT
Cycles and the Flow
Racing lads we got to race on Thetford's superb singletrack
again. The JT
Enduro saw a tough 4 laps x 8 mile race, with a
large
field facing the sticky conditions. Ryan and Adi
led it
out from the start, and luckily Jack, Smiffy and
Nige were in the leading bunch and away at the first
singletrack bottleneck, Ed and Bob were not so fortunate. Ryan Henry/Leisure Lakes soon
pulled
clear to win unopposed, showing superb style to
finish in
just over 2 hrs. Adi finished lap 1 in 3rd but after 3 laps Smiffy passed him, the
strain was showing all round as the fast starters faded.
Jack played his usual last lap trump card and first
disposed of Adi and then Smiffy, and in the process broke from Jeff Sharp/OTH
in a race long battle for the Vets 2nd position. Thetford specialist
Andy
Pegg (singlespeed as usual) took the vets win, as the 4th man across the
line overall, Jack 2nd (8th overall) 30 seconds back. Smiffy hung on for 11th, Ed and
Bob were in there somewhere and Nige threw in the
towel. Shalli had a go at the
2hr
race thanks to him & Karen for the photos. Professional Photos from
DereckHaden Photography are already available,
HERE he's quick.
Marco Pantani , a
true character, who brightened up many a race in his prime. |
oads can be fun

We had another go at those Curly barred things at
Darley Moor circuit, and a 4 man Rocko squad turned up too. On a windy day, Ryan and 6
others blasted off from the start leaving us slappers to fight it out behind.
Always amazes me how many riders are prepared to turn up and act like sheep,
and just follow riders till the sprint, Oh well, least I had the last laugh and
jumped them at the end, Ryan got 2nd again. |
riday Summer series
Feb
06 Could you handle 14 rounds, including maybe a team and handicap
event.....2004 is looking huge, you couldn't move in the pub for race
organisers. FNSS is
back with a bang. You could say its the UK's longest running and biggest MTB race
series. go checkout the
Forum for more info, and to have your say. A Numplumz round is back,
probably at Wadenhoe, but other plans are a foot. |
f we go - Gorricks away
Feb 06
XC racing is back and how, Smiffy adds a few dents in the ground and
still comes back to 2nd, got his eye an that series. Jack and Ron start the
battle once more in the Vets. An amazingly dry course for a mad weather weekend
Gorrick1 RESULTS
Good news Thetford racing has a temporary saviour. The Winter
Thetford Enduro is on, be quick though as its next Sunday the 15th. See
Events
for full details. While we are on the subject, if you want to ride the world cup
citizens race in June at Fort Bill, Scotland, entry forms are out
now.......apparently its very popular. Mines in the post, not missing that this
year. |
Sunny Spain Feb 06
