Martin Eadon has announced the format for the new Relay race.

Team Relay Event - Cosford FNSS Round 10
FNSS TEAM RELAY EVENT - JULY 16th.
The Rules!
1/ Teams will be made up of 4 riders, 1 Senior, 1 Veteran, 1 Junior (or Youth), and 1 Woman.
2/ Teams will nominate a team name, starting order and list of riders before the start at signing on. Any category rider can start in any order as long as this is stated at entry, this is for lap scorers benefit.
3/ Any rider can "guest" for another team (second ride) on the night but it will be their responsibility to arrange to make the start in time for both turns.
4/ Where a rider in the Junior (Youth) or Women's category can not be found, a Senior or Veteran rider can take the place but a 5 minute penalty will be added to the overall team time. A Junior or Youth can replace the Woman with no added penalty, and vice versa. For example: A rider does all the event on his own! He gets the 4 lap time, plus 3 x 5 minutes added to the total time - might be worth a try?
5/ The final team time will be taken from the start of the event to the time the last team member crosses the finish line. Any late starts or time lost in changeover will be irrelevant, the time is accumulative.
6/ Each team will carry a baton which must be handed over to the next rider in the changeover zone. If the baton is lost or not handed in at the finish then the team will be deemed to have not completed the course (there's a £1 deposit on the baton, so worth not losing it!)
7/ The event is aimed at fun, rivalry, and the sheer hell of it for being something different.
8/ There will be prizes for the winners, losers, original team name, funny team name, most outrageous dress sense and all other sort of awards on the night.
Entries on the normal forms available on Numplumz and CATS sites.

Sounds like it could be a laugh, good luck to the lap scorers for a start. As a help here's a rider order table for you to plan your race on, this could be handed to the lap scorers on the night possibly

Team A

Order Cat Rider Penalty
Rider 1
Rider 2
Rider 3
Rider 4

Team B

Order Cat Rider Penalty
Rider 1
Rider 2
Rider 3
Rider 4

Don't forget if you want to ride four laps then you could ride for 4 different teams as long as your start order is different. The only question then would be how much will it cost you per ride, better check with Martin for that one.
