They halt the traffic to start the ride on the road, so don't turn up late! ...you will sit in the car as riders race past you.

| The 50 km course sees most of the hard work in the first half of the ride - tons of tank tracks and good ol' grassy hills mixed in with hard surface tracks. last section is tracks and a final fast downhill |
| The leisure riders will have
time to take in the fantastic scenery, and play inthe deep water. In 2001 you could have stopped for a burger at half way. |
| Come well prepared for the leisure rides, it is a bit isolated in some areas. A good waterproof is recommended, no rider will be allowed to compete in just shorts (even Northerners) |
| Free Drink station available at halfway and finish area planned - NEVER HAPPENED IN 2001 ! There,s a burger and soup van though so take some cash with you. |
| The many tank tracks (Mind those unexploded bombs!!!!!!!!!!) mean there's some really deep and very muddy puddles to get through ..MY ADVICE IS NOT TO GO THROUGH ANY WATER, you might be suprised how deep it is |
| The 38/25 km courses are mostly on hard tracks, but all start and finish at the same place Erlestoke. |
| Team event (50 Km only) is for
teams of 4 riders, the fastest 3 home count for result. Riders to register on
day 1hr prior to start Prizes to top 3 - BCF rules apply |
| Schools trophy also, many riders as you wish - prizes for top 3 and special time bonuses for sponsorship raised |
| If its windy and raining hard you will suffer in the heavy mud and exposed moorland. Give your entry cash to the charity and watch the others suffer. (it will be hell) you will thank us for it. |
You have 5 hours to get back to your car!
2001 fastboys doing it in 2.5 hrs (conditions; frozen ground)
some very exposed areas if windy. ALL is south of the start area
